Background:
She was born in Noboribetsu, Hokkaido, as a young child Yukie Kadoyama enjoyed writing stories, and as a student was interested in English and translation. She first awakened to the charm of picture books while employed at a library, and later became involved in their creation. She currently resides in Sapporo.
